Dr. Sukhminder Jit Singh Bajwa is a Professor of Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care with additional qualification in Emergency Medicine. He has more than 20 years of teaching experience both for the undergraduates and postgraduate courses. Besides, he has more than 15 Years of Editing and Reviewing Experience in the field of medical journalism having a special interest in the areas of Research Methodology, Obstetrics, Neuroanaesthesia & Emergency Medicine.

He is Editor in Chief of “Practical Evidence in Anaesthesia Knowledge” Journal, Past-EIC of Northern Supplement of IJA, Past-Associate EIC of IJA, Associate EIC of JOACP, Editorial Board Member of 30+ International and National Journals.

He has been on Board of Director for PG studies at Baba Farid Univ. of Health Sciences, Faridkot, Punjab. He has written 17 book chapters including “Anaesthesia for Endocrine Surgery” in Lee’s Synopsis of Anaesthesia and has edited 5 books. He has more than 450 National and International Publications including seven National Guidelines in anaesthesia/medicine/endocrinology.
As an administrator, he is currently serving as the National Secretary of the registered professional and academic organisation of Anaesthesiologists of India, Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists.

His academic achievements include numerous awards including KPR Best Young Anaesthesiologist of India award in 2012, ISA National Bhopal Award for Academic Excellence, 2022, IMA National Award for distinguished contribution to medical sciences -2023 and Recognition by Stanford University in 2024 & his name is among the seven Indian Anaesthesiologists who were in the list of World’s Top 2% Scientists and Researchers.
